These are from Safety Weekend on October 8th and 9th, an event held annually at the Kmart store in Covington, GA. It’s designed to give children and parents awareness about being safe in their homes and out on the go. This year featured tactics to use for Halloween trick-or-treating, fire safety, and basic neighborhood watch procedures. Officers from the Covington Police Departments, Fire Departments, and Georgia State Patrol were in attendance, as well as the Newton County High School cheerleaders who entertained visitors with a routine and by serving hot dogs and hamburgers.There was also a DJ and a moon bounce! All in all, it was a very successful and informational event!
